I spent years doing hair in Chicago, including co-owning Barbara&Barbara. These days, you can find me at Little Broken Things in Palatine. I love getting to know the person in my chair and creating hair that feels like them.

Mandie Williams has spent more than two decades behind the chair. She was formerly a co-owner of Barbara&Barbara in Chicago and is now working at Little Broken Things in Palatine under her personal brand, Mandie Does Hair. Her work spans cutting, color and texture, with particular strength in alternative shapes, razor cutting, curly hair, vivid color and corrections.

I’m Mandie. I’ve spent more than 20 years behind the chair, creating lived-in color, expressive cuts and hair that feels like you.
Creativity follows me home, from decorating a room to cooking something new or baking for the people I love. Time with my kids means everything to me, and I’m always up for travel, a little adventure and trying something I haven’t done before.
My chair is a place to settle in, be yourself and dream up what comes next.
What I do now
From short cuts and razor work to curls, barber cuts, dimensional blonding, balayage, vivid color, color corrections, styling, and treatments, I love making a plan that fits your hair and your life.
